Series welding (Side block and under frame and keystone plate)

Using two top electrodes a series weld can be used when there is no access to the bottom part. (in case of bottom plate and side block). Both electrodes contact the top part and electric current is passed through the top part to the bottom part.

Two weld spots are produced one under each electrode.

Independent force control allows for separate adjustment of each electrode force and used to balance the heat between the two weld spots.

For a mild steel and stainless steel lower plate thicker than 3 mm good welding results are obtained by series spot welding without a back up bar when an upper plate of stainless steel or mild steel is 0.5-1.0 mm in thickness. Others are required back up bar of copper plate(in case of roof plate).

Side assembly spot welding system is in process which contacting stainless surfaces are jointed by heat obtained from residence to electric current .

Side sheet plates are in the 0.5mm to 3mm thickness range of three layers Welding points are about 3,000.
